TCOnow! for Web Application Serving will help you determine the optimal platform and server configuration for your web applications serving. By answering a limited number of questions, TCOnow! will generate a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) comparison of running your web application server on NT4, Windows 2000, mixed Windows, Solaris, UX, and AIX compared to the cost of running them on a mainframe or SUN Solaris.

TCOnow! takes into account the financial impact of server consolidation and highlights the impact of different application architectures. If you are trying to determine your optimal platform and server configuration, then this is the product for you!

Interview Process:		Choose from 1 of 4 different application architectures. You will be able to see the pricing and performance of more than 500 servers. Select from 17 industry groups (see default costs for employee salaries, benefits, depreciation method and schedule, cost of capital, etc).

Results:		The software will automatically configure your optimal servers, including partitioning and clustering when appropriate. It will also provide capacity planning, even as changes to growth assumptions occur.

A Step Further:		Once you have reviewed your analysis, you will be able to go back and change any of your decisions, or the underlying assumptions. This means you can change the financial assumptions, server models selected, back-up resources, partitioning and clustering, even the cost of power for the servers you’ve chosen! You can also go back and change availability requirements or deploy a cluster – in each instance you will be able to see how the changes affect your total cost of ownership model.
